The Process

Our Approaches

Every person is different and with medication management we look to make sure that it will effectively create the outcome you are looking for. Each condition has a specific way to look at it and we use different medications and resources to handle all cases, still giving a special outlook. Here are some of the approaches to certain conditions with medicational management.

Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)

In looking to help patients become experts of their own behavior, we work together to learn how to examine thoughts. We look to recognize when negative thoughts are increasing and apply different strategies to alter negative thoughts and emotions.

Trauma-Based Therapy

We delve deep into the patient's memory of painful experiences in order to "release" it through narration and prolong exposure.

Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT)

It's about creating awareness through accessing emotional experiences and linking them to patterns. We use evocation questions allowing the patient to respond leading to an emerging experience, and then help the patient differentiate reality from emotional responses.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

In providing education to help the patient better understand ACT, we help them to evaluate their currents ways of coping and teaching on finding ways to respond to difficult thoughts and feelings.
